How I can help

From the nutritional management of chronic health conditions to safe and sustainable weight-management programmes, I'll use my knowledge and skills gained over 15 years in NHS clinical practice to help you meet your health goals. While I’m delighted to meet and support clients on all kinds of journeys, I specialise in:

 

Women’s Health

Struggling with symptoms of PCOS, PMS or PMDD, thyroid problems, or another condition? I'll look at how food choices and other lifestyle factors could ease your symptoms. Importantly, I won’t simply put you on a diet - I’ll use my personal, tailored approach to show you how to eat quality foods, not just less.

 

Fertility & Pregnancy

If you’re trying to conceive or going through fertility treatment, rethinking your diet and maintaining a healthy weight could improve your chances of success. And if you’re already expecting, carefully considered nutrition is good for both you and your baby. On your own or with your partner; all are very welcome.

 

Obesity

I believe in the Health at Every Size ethos, and I team these values with clinical evidence to give guidance that truly works for you. So, as well as working towards body composition goals and non-scale objectives, I can help you tackle problems with blood pressure, glucose, and lipids, or even with self-esteem, anxiety and depression.

 

Lifestyle

It’s easy to know when you need a lifestyle change, but not so easy to decide where to begin. I’ll work with you to set goals and identify any health issues or recurring problems, then plan a diet that fits. And if you’re looking to the future, I can coach you in skills that will help you stay healthy and active as the years go by.

About

I’m Alice, a specialist Dietitian who believes in the life-changing power of nutrition.

In my first year of practice, I soon realised that making a difference wasn’t as simple as providing the right evidence-based strategy or the perfect meal plan. I had to get my clients on the same page. That’s when I started asking them the question that changed everything: what makes this important to you?

Now, I look at how my clients’ health or weight could be holding them back - and give them the support they need to find a way past it. I use my skills and knowledge to empower would-be parents, helping them to take control of their diet and lifestyle during an emotional time. I show mums how to build their energy and fitness so that they can race around the park after their children. I support people to develop the self-compassion and courage to face the challenges a long term health condition can pose.

Whatever your goals, my unique approach to nutrition empowers you to live the way you want to live. With my help, I hope to show you not just how to eat better - but how to live better.

I can truly say that working with Alice has been a complete joy. In all honesty I was slightly nervous about contacting a dietician, worried about paying just to be put on a diet! But I’m happy to report that this was not the dynamic I experienced at all.

Instead, my sessions with Alice enabled me to spark a total shift in my relationship with food and helped lift so much anxiety and tension around food that I wasn’t even aware I had. My sessions with Alice, which were educational and therapeutic, have empowered me to look after my body and consequently I now have a much kinder relationship with myself. I had no idea that working on my relationship with food and eating would affect other areas of my life and my mental health so much - but it has been surprisingly profound.
